After several intense months of R&D, I’m Happy to share that the final, production-ready prototypes of My first system, the DTF-1, are nearly complete!

What is the DTF-1?

The DTF-1 is a fully open-source, plug-and-play composite video camera module designed for seamless integration into night-vision goggles and drone platforms.

It functions just like a standard drone camera and is ready to use out of the box, while also being easy to reprogram and modify with your own firmware to meet your specific needs.

Development and Production Timeline

Fabrication of the final PCBs and firmware testing are currently underway, with a preorder based initial production run targeted for the next few months.

Staged Release Plan

Rollout will happen in phases, beginning with a small batch of discounted preorder units.

If you’re interested in purchasing one of these early units, please let me know so I can gauge demand!

Stage 1: Low-quantity preorder units (discounted and delivered first).

Stage 2: Scaled distribution, with larger quantities based on demand and user feedback.

Completely Open Source!

All firmware will be open source and fully modifiable, released at launch via GitHub and my Discord community, along with 3D files and other details.

You’ll have access to everything needed to integrate the DTF-1 into your own projects.

A full technical specification and feature breakdown will be released soon, along with field footage from the final prototype.

For behind-the-scenes updates and development progress, follow along on the socials linked at the top of the email!

Thank you all so much for your patience and enthusiasm in following along, I'll be posting as many updates as I can on my Instagram and discord server along the way!!

Cheers,
